Nestled amongst 25 acres in the heart of Pokolbin in the Hunter Valley, Hermitage Lodge has popular wineries and restaurants within walking distance, a leisurely bike ride or short drive.
A finalist in the HMAA 'Accommodation Industry Awards for Excellence of NSW' in 2003, Hermitage Lodge was a state winner in 2004 and 2006.With 20 rooms, Hermitage Lodge offers the discerning guest four star luxury accommodations and personal service rarely found today.
The rooms are large, comfortable and tastefully decorated with a great deal of attention to detail.
Each room boasts a queen size bed, Kings or split Kings, colour television, reverse cycle air conditioning, direct dial telephone, refrigerator, tea and coffee making facilities, electric blankets and a generous terrace area with table and chairs, and views over our own shiraz vineyard.The property also has its own salt water swimming pool and complimentary guest laundry.
Provisions for a continental breakfast can be found in each room and is included in the tariff.
Hermitage Lodge is also home to 'Il Cacciatore', awarded 'Best Italian Restaurant' for the Hunter Region in 2001-2005.The ambience in the restaurant is relaxed and casual, while the service is professional and friendly.
'Il Cacciatore' is open for dinner nightly from 6:00 p.m. and for lunch on weekends from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m.
